Jean survived the war in France. As a boy, he recalls his family fleeing St. Lo during the bombing, and turning to see the town in flames. The entire city was completely destroyed. Today he operates the la Chapelle de la Madeleine, a museum in St. Lo, France, where he serves as historian and curator. |
