The city of Maastricht has a long history and association with the 30th Infantry Division and its veterans. The largest city in Southern Holland, Maastricht was liberated by the 30th Infantry Division in September 1944. Since that time the city has dedicated numerous monuments and memorials to the Old Hickory Division. During the 65th Anniversary a group of Old Hickory Veterans were invited to Maastricht, to be honored for a week of celebration. On September 9, 2009, we filmed the memorial ceremony and parade dedicated in their honor, exactly 65 years to the date.
