LEW ADAMS Mr. Adams has been working in the network television and motion picture industry for more than 40 years. His knowledge and experience spans a wide variety of productions including live television, musicals, comedy and multi-camera, dramatic, documentary, series television, television specials, and theatricals. He is versed in both mediums of film and video. His television specials and musical credits include Bing Crosby, Peggy Fleming, Frank Sinatra, Burt Bacharach, Goldie Hawn, Kraft Music Hall, Mary Tyler Moore, Tijuana Brass, John Wayne, Walt Disney, John Denver and Kenny Rogers. His television series credits include Dean Martin Show, Andy Williams, Roger Miller, The Virginian, This Is The Life, Operation Entertainment, and the King Family. His dramatic and feature credits include Victory at Entebbe, The Rosenberg Trials, Lincoln Douglas Debates, Truman Vs. McArthur, Lt. William Calley, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, and Tiger of the Philippines. He is a director in the Directors Guild of America West and a member of the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences. He is a former Member of the Executive Board of the International Photographers Guild, I.A.T.S.E. local 659, Hollywood, CA. In the 1970's he founded Chaparral Productions, Inc. in Los Angeles (a SAG and DGA signatory company), where he produced over 100 television episodes and worked on accounts including Hewlett Packard, Northwest Airlines, Holiday Inn, Crocker Bank and Volvo. He has won numerous show awards including The Gold Cindy, The Cine Golden Eagle and 4 Emmy Award Nominations. Productions he has either directed, photographed, or produced, have received more than 25 Emmy Awards and nominations. He is owner of the Talent Film Group, Inc., and VNE Productions, a television and film production company. Recent productions include 'Helicopter Tech' for the Discovery Channel, 'What Do We Tell Our Children?' with Carol Burnett for Disney, 'Spirit of the Eagle' a feature film shot in Oregon, and 'Cybercopter' a prime time documentary for Discovery. Lew is a Private Pilot holding both power and glider ratings. |
